Leonhard and WSV Zaunhof, guided by Thomas Auer provided the necessary conditions, together with Heinrich Schranz from the “Pitztler Gletscherbahn”, for the initial Paralympics qualifications for Vancouver at the beginning of March 2010. Some Teams came from as far as Japan, South Africa and Argentina. The President of the German Disabled Sport Association F. J. Breuchert and his Alpine Chief Michael Hipp were very pleased with the support they received from the Pitztal Glacier, this year as well as over the last 12 years and are looking forward to the next season start in Pitztal. Quite a few of the present athletes come regularly to the Pitztal Glacer for training. Especially during autumn they appreciate the well groomed slopes to get ready for the winter season.
